Lawnwood Regional Medical Center specializes in a full range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services. Our medical staff includes physicians in the following surgical specialties:

Lawnwood Regional Medical Center's medical/surgical unit boasts a nursing staff who has expertise in the care of patients with pulmonary, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine, cardiovascular, and neurological disorders. Many of our registered nurses have special certifications which enhance the delivery of quality care for our patients.
Most common services include nursing care of stroke patients, pneumonia, respiratory and lung disorders, general surgical procedures such as cholecystectomy and prostate surgery; post-operative pain management with epidural catheters, and medical-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
Progressive Care Unit
The Progressive Care Unit at Lawnwood is a 72-bed telemetry unit which utilizes a variety of licensed and ancillary staff who specialize in the care of adult cardiac patients.
Intensive Care Unit
The Intensive Care Unit is an 18-bed unit serving a variety of patients with multiple health problems. All patients are monitored for cardiac arrhythmias. The unit's multidisciplinary team of health care givers include registered nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacist, case managers, physical therapists, and dieticians.
The Oncology Unit at Lawnwood is a 17-bed inpatient unit that offers a complete scope of oncology services. We are proud to have nationally certified oncology nurses working with our patients who are certified in the administration of chemotherapy. The sensitive and caring staff provide an environment which is open to family and friends and supportive of the emotional needs of the patient.
The unit also has access to surgical, chemotherapy, radiation, and nutritional support, as well as pain control and management, cardiac monitoring, case management, patient and family education, and a referral service for needs after discharge.
The 18-bed Orthopedic unit offers pre and post operative teaching to patients. Patients can benefits from a multidisciplinary team approach with nurses, physicians, physical therapists, case management, and nutritionists. Aggressive pain control measures include patient-controlled analgesia, epidural drips and cardiac monitoring. The most common types of procedures we care for are total knee replacement, back surgery, neck surgery, shoulder surgery, and total hip replacement.
