Setu Dalal, DO

General/Trauma/Critical Care Surgeon

Photo of Dr. Setu DalalDr. Setu Dalal, received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York. Dr. Dalal graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. He completed his Internship at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his Surgery Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York.

He completed his Trauma Surgery and Critical Care fellowships at Grant Medical Center (a Level 1 trauma center) in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr Dalal primarily focuses on Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.

Dr Dalal is Board Certified in General Surgery and Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.



Christian Schuetz, MD

General/Trauma Surgeon

Photo of Dr. Christian SchuetzDr. Christian Schuetz received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1997 from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He earned his Medical Degree in 2003 at the American University of the Caribbean, Saint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. Dr. Schuetz completed his general surgery internship in 2003, and residency in 2008 at the University of South Florida, where he also served as chief resident. He completed his Surgical Critical Care Fellowship in June 2009 at the University of South Florida.

Dr Schuetz enjoys Surgical Critical Care in addition to trauma and acute care surgery, but is trained in all aspects of surgical care including the most current minimally invasive techniques.

Dr Schuetz is Board Eligible in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.





Crista Porpiglia, PA-C

Crista received her Emergency Medical Technician Certification from Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce Florida in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Florida in 2006. Crista went on to receive her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Florida in 2009.

Crista’s focus is on assisting the trauma physicians in Trauma Surgery and Critical Care Procedures. In addition, Crista follows the trauma patients through their recovery process. From the time of injury through the rehabilitation process to their follow up in our trauma office.





Jose Diaz, MD

Dr Jose A Diaz, received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. Dr Diaz graduated from the St Mary’s School of Medicine in 2001. He completed his Surgery Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida.

He completed his Trauma Surgery and Critical Care fellowships at the University of Miami, Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine /Jackson Memorial Hospital/Ryder Trauma Center.

Dr Diaz primarily focuses on Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Dr Diaz is Board Certified in General Surgery and Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery.





James Kasiewicz, MD

Photo of Dr. James Kasiewicz Dr. James E. Kasiewicz, received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. . Dr Kasiewicz graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 2004. He completed his Surgery Residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

He completed his Trauma Surgery and Critical Care fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr Kasiewicz primarily focuses on Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.

Dr. Kasiewicz is Board Eligible in General Surgery and Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery.
