We realize these are unprecedented times for our community as we all work to reduce the effects of the coronavirus, COVID-19, and truly appreciate the generous outpouring of support.
Keep yourself and others healthy
Stay home whenever possible, wash your hands often and practice social distancing by staying at least six feet away from others. Follow these and all of the guidelines set forth by local, state and federal public health officials including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as we work to slow the spread of the virus.
Send a message to our caregivers
If you or your child would like to send a message of thanks and encouragement or draw a picture for our physicians, nurses and caregivers, we would love to hear from you! Please take a photo of your note or artwork and email it to us. Thanks, in advance, for showing your support to these heroes who are providing expert medical care to our patients on a daily basis.
Make a product donation*
If you are interested in making a large donation (more than one pallet) of commercially manufactured personal protective equipment (PPE), please send us an email. Please include detailed information about the type of product(s), quantity, location and contact information.
Please note that we cannot accept homemade masks at this time, based on current CDC guidelines.
Here’s a list approved masks, face shields and other personal protective equipment needed:
- Hand Sanitizer
- Disinfectant Cleaning Wipes
- Masks: Face or N95
- Face Shields
- Gloves: Exam or Surgical (Nitrile Preferred)
- Gowns: Isolation or Surgical
- Lab Coats: Reusable or Disposable
- Linens and Pillows
- Lab Swabs: Flocked Nasal or Pharyngeal
Food and other donations:
We are able to receive food donations that have been prepared by a restaurant, whether it be a local business or a chain. We are unable to receive food from individuals (aka, homemade treats) as donations to our staff or clinical teams. Please provide us notice in advance here.
Although we appreciate the offer of other donated goods or services, we are currently limiting acceptance to commercially prepared food products.
If you are interested in helping our community in others ways, we urge you to consider making a blood donation through the American Red Cross or OneBlood as our nation’s blood supplies are critically low.
Thank you for your support!
*Please note that donations to HCA East Florida and/or any of our facilities are not tax-deductible and receipts will not be given.
