Akram Shhadeh, MD

Dr. Shhadeh is the Medical Director for the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Director of Arubah Neuroscience Institute in Ft. Pierce, FL. He specializes in minimally invasive, image guided techniques to diagnose and treat arteries and veins of the brain, neck, and spine. Dr. Shhadeh earned his medical degree from Damascus University in Syria. He completed a residency in Neurology at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He completed fellowships in Vascular Neurology and Endovascular Neuroradiology at the University of California in San Diego, CA, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in Newark, NJ. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology and Vascular Neurology. He is also certified by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties in Neurocritical Care. Dr. Shaddeh offers services and treatment related to ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, brain aneurysm, brain arteriovenous malformation, extracranial and intracranial atherosclerotic disease, spinal vascular malformation, cerebral venous stenting, carotid and vertebral artery stenosis, spinal compression fracture, neurological emergencies, WADA procedure, and inferior petrosal sinus sampling.
